Final Final Decisions
Ok so josh informed me of his shit this morning so the draft has changed again. It will now be Sunday, September 2nd at 11:15 AM. I will be calling everybody today to make sure we all know when the draft is.

Trowin' in the towel
Sorry fellas, but I guess I'm going to have to bail. I work Saturday, and don't think I can get away with taking a 1.5-2 hour break sittin at my computer doing a fantasy football draft while at work. The ol' boss may look down on that a little. And as for pre-ranking players...I don't think I really want to rank 150+ players.

FINAL DECISIONS
Ok guys heres the final settings.
The draft will be 12:30 Pm on this coming saturday, september 1st. Thats Noon-Thirty for us in the south. Bailey im sorry that this doesnt work for you but it is really the only time that works for everybody else.
These are the options for anybody that cant make the draft:
2. Drop out. If you just cant do it im sorry, you will be missed, but if you are going to drop out please let me know before the draft so i can remove you from the draft order.
3. Pre-Rank your players. On your team page there is an option to pre-rank your players. Because there are 8 people in the league and 10 positions, you should probobly pre-rank something like 150 players or so just to make sure dont run out of pre ranks. When you do this, you dont have to show up to the draft, Yahoo will just pick your players in the order you have them, of course depending on availability. I know its a pain in the ass to do this but if you want in the league then its definately better than dropping out.

total points
First, i think it would be great if Mr. Honcho could play, and while i am only one of 8, i am willing to be very flexible with the draft. what about late night? 11/12 pm during the week? nothing is perfect for everybody, but surely there is some slot in there where we can all be in front of a computer for an hour.
I agree with everyone's reason for wanting h2h. that IS why h2h is fun. I'll just give my opinion so we have another to think about:
In football, our teams will only score 16 times. with h2h playoffs, that's only 14 times. I think you could win or lose totally at the mercy of the schedule. there are also only 8 of us, so i think there is still lots of shit talking and a lot of moving up and down the ranks. h2h scoring can be inconsistant, but we have seen that hundreds of baseball games can smooth it out. i don't think we'll get so lucky with football, but again, I HAVE DONE NEITHER AND HAVE NO IDEA. i know h2h can be more competitive, but someone is gonna be last in week 13 no matter what. ask jeff. (sorry bro) I know in h2h you can loose with an awesome week and win with a shitty week, whereas in tp you can do ok every week and slowly fall behind. I'm just taking a hunch that is is fun to just take on the league as a whole every week; big weeks will make you rise up quickly, and bad weeks will make you fall hard. either way, after defense and kickers, we are only playing 64 player, who only play once a week! no one is gonna jwest crush us like if we dared to play baseball total points with him. i want to take u all on every week. after a few weeks, i'll know who is above me and who's runnning back i want to have a bad day or whatnot.
look, this is no big deal, and we will have fun either way. i hope all 8 can play.

I'd prefer to do the head-to-head scoring. That way we can match up against each other every week. More competition and trash talking that way i think.
As for scheduling, i know it's a pain, but i work on weekends so that doesn't work very well for me. I'm off this Tuesday and Wednesday, but other than that it would have to be a night/afternoon draft for me.
Sorry guys, if it becomes to troublesome because of my schedule I'll bail out if i have to.

VOTE OR DIE!
Ok guys we need to vote on how we would like scoring to work out. We have two options.
We can do Head-to-Head...
Each week we would be paired up with another team in the league. However wins each stat categorie at the end of the week gets a win. The top 4 people at the end of the season go into the playoffs in the last 2 weeks of the regular season.
Total Points...
With this we simply get points for each of your players and their good/bad plays. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins.
Everyone vote quickly so we can get this locked in.

Draft time
Ok guys.
Yahoo will only let us draft at certain times to make sure that their server can handle it all. So everybody leave me your work schedule for next weekend so i can figure out the best time for everybody. As of right now it may be like saturday morning at like 10....but i dont think bailey can make that. From what im seeing, bailey is the only one that cant make it to the draft on sunday at the time we have....
Just let me know your weekend schedules so i can get us a spot before it gets taken.
We will get this shit done...even if we have to just do it on IM and ill add them into the draft myself....although i dont want to resort to that.

PS. Im proud to see that everyone is keeping up with the blog...this shit would never get done otherwise

About the playoffs
I vote to move the playoffs up at least one week to weeks 14 and 15 because if you have a stud guy on your team who plays for a stud team then more than likely come weeks 15 and 16 they will be resting/sitting or at least by week 16 they will be, which would be the championship game, because their team will have already clinched a playoff spot. your thoughts?

Welcome to our blog for the Plea Bargain Fantasy Football League. Please check this blog often so we can make some pre-season decisions about the league itself. I am Commisioning, but would love any feedback as this is my first year doing fantasy football.
The first thing we have to discuss is when we will have our draft. Everybody look at your calendars and let me know what times are good for you. The season starts on the 6th of september, so it needs to be sometime before that. The live draft is a lot of fun and should only take us about an hour or so. Ask off of work if you have to, i know we are mostly restaurant people so it shouldnt be that hard.
Let me know so we can get this locked in.
